Mercy Anim launches new Book:
"To Bed a President"

What inspired you to write this book?

I was inspired by General Ignatius K Acheampong, whose military regime ruled Ghana from 1972 to 1978. He was executed in 1979 along with other members of his

ruling government after another military regime seized power. It was expected that the killings would bring about change in Ghana but the only change that swept through the country during that period was the brutality of the new military regime. Nothing else changed. The same crimes--most notably economic mismanagement and corruption that these men and women were accused of and killed for- continued on to this day on an unimaginable scope.
